tablet donation to Kingsford Primary School - March 2015

Following on with our tradition of gifting the preloved Vodafone Warriors tablets to deserving schools, this time we headed to Mangere with 5 Vodafone Warriors to greet Kingsford Primary School.

The school put on an impressive performance and welcome for us and we all felt extremely privileged to be able to help out this school.  Garry Stratta (General Manager) said a few words, though I think he was thoroughly pleased to be outclassed and upstaged by the kids who danced, sang and welcomed us proudly to their school. We were all moved by the Tongan dancing display two young boys put on.  (There is a video link to it below.)

We were also pleased to be accompanied by Ben Matulino, Ngani Laumape, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Dominique Peyroux and Albert Vete from the Vodafone Warriors.  The boys were thrilled to be able to share such a moment with the kids and then had a great time playing with the tablets and a few sports skills after the presentation.  We aren't sure if the tablet use was entirely educational but certainly those kids will be expert selfie takers!  We were a bit concerned when it looked like the basketball skills section may turn into bullrush but it all ended well with kids climbing all over Warriors and Warriors signing balls, shoes, clothing and several arms.  The kids had an incredible time and it was a wonderful day.

Rex Buckley (Principal) was extremely appreciative and the board sent dtr a beautiful thank you letter.  We were happy to be able to help Kingsford Primary School students dream BIG and Reach The Stars.
