Visitors from Thailand - October 2017

As we have mentioned previously dtr is embarking on quite the adventure this year in undertaking to fundraise $150,000 for Thailand orphans and also to train to ride 300kms across Thailand in May 2018.

While it's fair to say many of us are struggling with the training, my hope is summer will be easier!, one thing we aren't struggling with in terms of motivation is the fundraising.

The difference we can make is Thailand is so tangible and direct, we literally can help keep kids alive, it feels like an easy cause to sign on to.  We had further motivation in the form of 3 lovely kids from Baan Than Namchai Orphanage.  Jip, Nan and Ohn (all 14) came with Kru Prateep and Khun Ae all visited our offices and a couple of the stores and chatted with some of the staff doing the ride.  It was great practice in english for the girls and we were lucky enough to be treated to a bit of Kru Prateep's  life story which was incredibly inspiring to say the least.

Now I don't know about the rest of the team but I hope this motivation can carry over to my bike training!  I certainly have a way to go.

At dtr, treating people fairly is important to us. That's why we make sure everyone gets an equal chance to own the things they need, with payments to suit their budget. And because we know things in life sometimes change, we can help you adjust your payments, so you won’t get in over your head.
