A year ago we produced the first Annual Review in dtr’s history. The aim was to wrap-up all the events of the previous 12 months. We covered financial and operational highlights as well as what makes the company tick. It was warmly received by a broad range of stakeholders and we have done it again, with the Annual Review 2011.

Some of the key highlights in this version of the document are a 54% lift in NPAT, the two new stores opened in the last six months and our accreditation as a Qualifying Financial Entity. This was the culmination of a process that also saw us become one of the first lenders in New Zealand to be officially registered as a Financial Services Provider. Underpinning this is our membership of and adherence to the Financial Service Federation’s Responsible Lending Guidelines (www.fsf.org.nz).

It’s a tough market out there, but we have continued to invest in both infrastructure and people. The establishment of our ‘Fulfilling Potential’ Assistant Store Manager programme is a great example of this. We have also shared our success with our staff through the extension of our Long Term Incentive Plan.

As we approach 50 years in the retail and finance business, we’re excited about the direction the company is headed and looking forward to further progress in 2012. To take a closer look at the Annual Review, please download the PDF link on the image.
