we've resigned to sponsor the Warriors - May 2011

In the last off-season, we jumped on the chance to sponsor the Junior Warriors. We’ve loved our first season so much that we’ve committed to another two seasons.

There are three main reasons for this. First up, there has been a strong response from our customers and, equally importantly, from our staff. Many of our customers were already big supporters of the club, so it’s good for them to be able to see us also backing the Warriors.

When we signed on in the first place, we thought there would be a strong cultural alignment and we have been proved right. Both organisations respect the same values and you can’t underestimate the importance of getting along with the people you work with.

In addition, we are keen to explore the possibilities in terms of how dtr can become involved in the Warrior’s ‘One Community’ programme. For those not in the know, the One Community programme is all about tackling social issues and promoting core values to kids 12 and under. All sorts of activities fit under this banner, including reading sessions in libraries to support literacy.

Oh, and the Warriors have recently put together a string of wins. It’s always nice to be part of a winning team!

At dtr, treating people fairly is important to us. That's why we make sure everyone gets an equal chance to own the things they need, with payments to suit their budget. And because we know things in life sometimes change, we can help you adjust your payments, so you won’t get in over your head.
